It is a herringbone pattern,connected with Zhongshan Road in the east, Beijing Road in the north and Heibei road in the west. "Jiangning" is the ancient name of Nanjing, here is the earliest "Nanjing road" in Qingdao. This place is named as Firewood Courtyard because there were many temporary commercial "wood house". These "wood house" are known very well by many autochthons. Here built a few compound from the mid-term of the 20's of the last century, after Qingdao building for the city, and Jiangning road has become a commercial pedestrian mall gradually. The compound along the pedestrian mall were most for shops,restaurant, Firewood Courtyard became the name of a commercial pedestrian mall from the name of a courtyard.
